Goals of the Program
The purpose of the Dental Technology program is to prepare skilled and competent dental technologists who will:
1. Design, construct, and repair dental prosthetics and
appliances with precision and professionalism.
2. Support dentists in providing high-quality oral
healthcare solutions tailored to patients’ needs.
3. Demonstrate ethical responsibility and attention to
detail in dental laboratory practices.
4. Stay updated with advancements in dental materials,
equipment, and digital technologies.
5. Contribute to the enhancement of oral health standards
through innovative and patient-centered solutions.
Objectives of the Program
Graduates of the Dental Technology program will:
1. Develop proficiency in designing and fabricating dental
prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and
orthodontic appliances.
2. Gain expertise in working with a variety of dental
materials, such as ceramics, metals, and polymers.
3. Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment,
including CAD/CAM systems, for digital dentistry
solutions.
4. Uphold stringent quality assurance and infection
control protocols in dental laboratory practices.
5. Collaborate effectively with dentists, orthodontists,
and other dental care professionals to meet patients’ oral
health needs.
6. Exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving skills to
address complex cases and ensure the functionality and
aesthetics of dental appliances.
7. Communicate effectively to understand and fulfill
patient-specific dental requirements.
8. Adhere to ethical principles, respecting patient
